With a 1-0 advantage from the first leg, Real Madrid need to score in order to have any chance of advancing to the next round. Rafa Benitez played a strong first 11, with Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard upfront, threatening the Real Madrid defence from the first minute till the end.

Great team performance and Real Madrid just could not cope with the fast attacks and tempo the home side started. Every single player knew what their tasks on the pitch and kept the shape.
