Welcome To Anfield, Real Madrid

Liverpool 4 Real Madrid 0
Torres 16, Gerrard 28 pen, 47, Dossena 89

Look at the scoreline above, it's into the record books for sure. Anfield, European night, against Real Madrid. Scoreline: 4-0 to Liverpool. What else beats that?

With a 1-0 advantage from the first leg, Real Madrid need to score in order to have any chance of advancing to the next round. Rafa Benitez played a strong first 11, with Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard upfront, threatening the Real Madrid defence from the first minute till the end.

Great team performance and Real Madrid just could not cope with the fast attacks and tempo the home side started. Every single player knew what their tasks on the pitch and kept the shape. From Pepe Reina to Fernando Torres, everyone rose to the occasion and gave Juande Ramos' men a footballing lesson.

Tactically outclassed by fellow Rafa Benitez, Real Madrid was just struggling on how to stop Liverpool. Goals by Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard and Andrea Dossena, oh yes, Dossena, his first goal for the club and you saw the way he celebrated his goal right at the end. You know how much this meant to the players.

Anfield has once again shown that they can be the 12th man whenever they need to, supported the team right from the start, and what an atmosphere! I could even feel it at home as I watched the match. I'm sure it was hell of an experience for Raul and company.

Quarter finals here we come! No country protection, so we may face any English teams. It would be interesting to see who we draw against, but whoever we got, we just gotta deal with it like how we did with Real Madrid.

You'll Never Walk Alone..
